Truegold (TG) – Explanation & Strategy

Explanation:

• Truegold is a premium resource you need to upgrade buildings beyond Level 30.
• After that, some buildings have TG tiers from TG1 to TG5.
• Possible buildings include: City Center, Barracks, Stable, Shooting Range, Infirmary, Embassy, and Command Center.
• Each TG tier has 5 sub-levels (e.g., TG1-1 to TG1-5). Only after completing all 5 sub-levels does the building advance to the next TG tier.
• Upgrading buildings still requires certain levels of other buildings (for example: to bring the Barracks to TG1, you need the City Center at TG1).
• These upgrades are very expensive (Truegold + regular resources).

How to get Truegold:

• Secret Missions at the Watchtower (Beast Hunt – once you have City Center 30)
• As rewards from various events
• In the in-game shops
• Purchasable in packs for real money (cash)

Strategy:

When should I use Truegold:

Spending Truegold outside of events often gives relatively little value. During major events like:

• Strongest Governor
• Kingdom vs. Kingdom (KvK)

you earn points and rewards for the same upgrades. Spending too early can slow your long-term progress.

Upgrade tips:

• In the Academy, research the “Upgrade” technology.
• Stockpile Truegold, resources, and speedups (general & building).
• The hero Saul reduces upgrade time and costs with his skill “Resourceful”.
• The minister title “Chief Minister” reduces upgrade time for 30 minutes. You must apply via: Events → Battle for the Castle → Appointment.
• The companion “Grey Wolf” reduces upgrade time for 5 minutes.
• The decree “Double Time” reduces upgrade time for 5 minutes. 

• !! Best approach: apply for the minister title, and as soon as it’s active, activate the Grey Wolf and Double Time, then upgrade as much as possible within those 5 minutes and use your speedups. !!
• Before upgrading, you can use the Kingshot Building Calculator (https://www.kingshotguide.org/calculator/building-calculator). You can enter all the bonuses above to calculate how many resources/Truegold/speedups you need. 
  • How to use the calculator:
  • Select the building you want to upgrade.
  • Select your current level and the level you are aiming for.
    • Note: The sub-levels are named as follows:
    • TG 1-1 = Level 31
    • TG 1-2 = Level 32
    • TG 1-3 = Level 33
    • TG 1-4 = Level 34
    • TG 1-5 or TG 1 = Level 35
  • Check the box: "Include Prerequisite Buildings".
  • Enter the levels of your other buildings.
  • Enter your different bonuses:
    • Construction Speed Bonus: In-game, tap your power number (right next to your profile picture), scroll down to “Growth” and “Construction Speed”.
    • Wolf Skill Bonus: Open companions and select the Grey Wolf.
    • King/Position Bonus: General bonus (under your profile picture → tap the small icon) and minister title bonus.
    • Saul Skill Bonus: Hero Saul → skill “Resourceful”.
    • Double Time Decree: Decree “Double Time”.
  • Click “calculate”. 
  • On the right, you’ll see the required resources/Truegold, how long it takes, and which other buildings also need to be upgraded.
